#60 Tony Davis – South Side Chicago to NCAA Champion

Tony Davis is an Illinois wrestling legend. He was the first 5x IKWF state champion, and then wrestled for the prestigious Mt. Carmel Caravans, alongside teammates Joe Williams and TJ Williams. Tony won an Illinois high school state title but then was expelled and found himself living a different life. He was shot and hospitalized when Iowa Central Community College offered him a chance to wrestle collegiately. It was at this moment that Tony Davis decided to change his life. He went on to become a 2x junior college national champ, and 2x NCAA finalist, winning the NCAA’s his senior year. Ironically, Davis’ junior year ended with a loss to fellow high school and Harvey Twister teammate TJ Williams.
